Cara Kliewer brings more than 20 years of experience from the Wichita and Kansas City regions to CK Communications. Specializing in growing brand awareness with limited budgets through strategic communications.

Cara’s experience includes a decade of executive leadership with Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters, serving as Director of Marketing and Communications for 90 communities in the state. Cara created and managed media relations, volunteer recruitment campaigns and event planning for the largest Big Brothers Big Sisters campaign in the nation. She and the team helped grow Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters to the #1 agency in the nation serving over 6,500 children in Kansas.

Cara’s career in Wichita began as Communications Officer for the Kansas Health Foundation. While at KHF, she grew in her love for nonprofits and managed grants for local organizations Exploration Place, Rainbows United and Wichita State University. She was a member of the creative team that developed an Emmy award-winning television campaign to improve the health of all Kansans.

Prior to her work in Wichita, Cara gained critical marketing and media experience in the larger Kansas City market with marketing positions in KC and Lawrence.
